The Band

Bad Hat was a hard rock/alternative band that stomped around the Bucks County, PA area from 1993 to roughly 1997. In that time, the band released a 4-song EP, “Dinner With Bob” (1994) and a 9 (8) + 3 cover song album titled “PigDog Farm” in 1995.

These pages are just for a bit of fun nostalgia. If you’d like to listen to the PigDog Farm album, the Dinner With Bob EP, or a recorded live performance at a bar called Scarlets – and perhaps learn a few things about the songs – click on through and enjoy!

A Note:

It is with great sadness that we have to say on 11/25/2020, Bill Hottenstein suffered from an anuerism and has since passed away. He will always be remembered through the music he helped create.

We miss you, Billy.

In honor of Bill’s passing, we have decided to re-release PigDog Farm as of January 13, 2023. Individual tracks can be purchased for $.99 each via a link on each song’s page.
Gear:
Mike played on Tama drums, Paiste and Zildjian cymbals.

Joe played a red Ibanez Roadstar bass, with an 18″ Peavy bass combo amp.

Jim played a 1991 Gibson Les Paul Studio Light with MIII electronics, a custom Jackson USA of unknown age, with a Marshall 2-channel solid state preamp, Hughes & Kettner power amp, and a Marshall 1960A 4×12 cabinet (eventually replaced with dual Laney 2×10″ cabinets because that 1960A was *heavy*).

Bill had a pencil.
